Kissimmee is famous for its theme parks, but it’s also a gateway to some of Florida’s most beautiful waterways. Whether you want to paddle through ancient cypress forests or float alongside manatees on the coast, you have world-class options just a short drive away.

Option 1: Shingle Creek (The Local Gem)

Distance: 10 minutes from US-192. Best For: Alligators, Turtles, Old Florida Scenery.

Known as the "Headwaters of the Everglades," Shingle Creek is a tranquil escape right in the heart of the city. Launching from Steffee Landing gives you immediate access to a shaded, winding creek lined with massive cypress trees.
